Yet Another Newbie - Digital Scrapbooking Community

Hey all! I'm Angela, engineer by day, crafter by night. I've done a bit of digital scrapbooking before but am just getting back into it now.

For those who care, I'll be using GIMP because, while I do have PS on my husband's PC, I'd much prefer to not have to make him get off the computer every time I want to scrap. We have three other computers in the house which I'll probably skip between using (a Macbook, a basic HP desktop, and my five year old - but still kicking - Dell laptop). In terms of cameras, I've got a Canon Digital Rebel that almost always has my beloved 50 mm/f2.8 on it along with a four year old P&S and my iPhone.

I plan to scrap travel, events, family gatherings, that sort of thing. I do a lot of photography of my every day life (including daily self portraits) but don't plan to scrap any of it. I've got so many other hobbies going on there just isn't the time!

Oh, and, when you have time, check out our AKA (also known as) Challenge card gallery. It's another way to introduce yourself with your name and your user name and a photo on a small card. The template for the card is a free one to download to use in making the card and is the very first entry in that gallery.
