Super New to Digital! HI! - Digital Scrapbooking Community

Hi everybody! I'm really new to the digital world but I think I want to give it a shot. I have a lot of down time during the winter so I want to learn digital because it would be easier to take with me than paper. I also think it's something that will be easier to do without dragging a lot of supplies out all the time.

I'm 23 from Nebraska and have been paper scrapping since high school. I would have to say that I was intrigued by digital scrapbooking when I found Ali Edwards' blog and participated in the Week in the Life project. I used a few digital things for that and loved hybrid. I will probably do a lot of hybrid but I'm enjoying reading all the tips and tutorials here. I also love the gallery because I can see that I will still be able to make a page that looks like a paper page and there's tons of inspiration!

Welcome, Christy! I was a paper scrapper for 11 years. Once I tried digital, I never looked back. I think you're going to like it.

(and, for learning PSE or Photoshop if you have it, be sure to check out the tutorials here by Cassie Jones. They are step by step learning tutorials that come complete with the digital supplies for creating a layout while you learn. When you're done with the tutorial you'll have a completed layout and supplies you can use again. Such a deal!)

Digital is so fun. I also paper scrapped for many years then 5 years ago went all digital and would never go back. I love my paper scrapbooks but I certainly wish that they had digital 20 years ago so that they would all be easy to share and reprint.

Hi there! I paper scrapped for years, but then kids came, and I didn't have the time and didn't want to clean up! LOL! Now I am trying to learn digital, and so far I love it! I thought I would do hybrid...but I am totally stuck on all digital!

Hi Christy! Welcome to DD. You will have much fun here. I also love paper scrapping and sometimes do a little hybrid too. But digital is also so much fun. I just love them all!!

Welcome to DD! Not having to drag out a lot of supplies is definitely an advantage of digital vs. paper. However, not having to put the supplies away afterwards? Even better!
