I too had been a paper scrapper for awhile, but got out of it after I had my daughter (4+ years ago). decided it was time to get back into it, but knew I couldn't leave paper stuff on the dining room table (little one is way to crafty and would be all over that!). Looked at CM products, decided I wanted more control in the software and eventually found myself on Jessica Sprague's website/tutorials. That led me to Katie's products, and now I've finished two books and am getting ready to start cathching up on family albums and my daughters baby book+.

Post I got here...

in a round-about way-- through my paper scrapbooking things! When I began the switchover to digital scrapping, I was looking through some of the scrapbook magazines that I still get for some inspiration for a layout design. I saw something I liked, and glanced down to see what the materials were. Interestingly enough, I was surprised to find that the layout was completely digital. I saw that the alphabet that was used was by Katie Pertiet-- Googled her name, and here I am!

Hi! I'm new, from May 30, 2010. I found DD through Cathy Z's website; every so often, she would post up links for a new layout using PS on her blog, and I'd follow it here, but I didn't go past her pages for a while. *Finally* for my birthday I got a copy of PSE8 from my husband, and from there I went searching for a site that had nearly the same design sensibilities I had (others are often too cutesy, or whimsical, or cartoony, or...dated, somehow). After DLing just about every freebie, I got curious and whoa, got majorly sucked in! I thought I'd gone through everything on the site, and yet, after looking at some of the incredible pages in the gallery, others here keep pointing out more things I've Just Got to Have!

It helps that the staff is so helpful, and is active on the forum. You can feel the energy vibing off the computer screen!
