Help w/ question about using smaller QP's as a frame

I am very new to digital scrapping, and plan on sticking with mostly 12" pages. However, I was wondering if I could take a smaller QP, like say a 5x7 one and use it on my 12" layout page as a frame? I have not tried, just thought I would ask it if it was possible since I have my eye on a few awesome smaller quick pages that I may have to get if this can be done.

That would work fine. A 5x7 QP could make a quite sweet 5x7 frame, depending on the design of the QP. There have been quite a few pages in the gallery recently where people have shrunk a whole template and then put that onto another page. Similar idea. Or I think I've seen LOs where people have used card templates as frames on their 12x12 page.
