i tried the cover template - help!

ok -I downloaded the shutterfly 8x8 cover, spine, and back templates. I put my jpeg page on to it and it looked like it fit. Also did the spine. Saved as a jpeg. The cover page is still not fitting - the page is being cut off and there wasn't a way to plop the spine jpeg onto the spine part. What am I doing wrong? I know it's something simple. I tried to download the action from katie, but I have pse 4 and actions don't seem to work with that version so I don't want advice on that option - thanks!
