Default shutterfly cover

I have saved my page for the cover @ 7.5x7.5. When I drag it onto the cover page it's all cut off. Should I be worried that it's not showing the actual look? Thanks.

Shutterfly has actual templates you can download to make sure this doesn't happen. Just a second & I will find the link.

Here you go! Hope this helps!

I converted a 12x12 to an 8x8. The cover, spine & backcover didn't convert the way I wanted them to so I used the handy templates provided by shutterfly. I have found that the way you see it is the way it will print. The cover & backcover actually bend around the book. This is why you "lost" the edges of your layout & things look a little funny.

The covers and spine are a different size than the pages, so using the template the Joey mentioned is the best way to go. So, for an 8x8 book, the covers are actually larger than 8x8 for bleed purposes. HTH!

Hi there, I just tried to download the template and fit my picture in it and once I upload it is still cropping quite a bit off. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Try editing the cover image while you're in the book-building module. It might be cropping it automatically. If it is, you can drag the margins out to make it fit your whole page. Make sure you're using Shutterfly's cover template and not just uploading an 8x8 layout.

I bet you need to use the other cropping mode found under the edit-enhance function on the shutterfly website. There are 2 cropping modes on shutterfly. One of those modes will make your LOs cut off wrong. Check it out and let us know if you still need help. Good luck!
