Default A FREE action for your Shutterfly projects

Need to re-size your pages to upload to Shutterfly?

Just open your JPEG, flattened page and run the action and save!
Simple as that!

Please note: this action is for use in Photoshop ONLY. To re-size your pages for an 8x8 book save them to 7.95"x7.95". For a 12x12 book save to 11.95"x11.95" simple as that!

Thanks Katie! How easy was that!!
I have PSE and it worked fine. It resized my 12"x12" LO to 7.95"x7.95".
That's what it was supposed to do? Is there an option for the bigger size, or is that missing for PSE?
Resizing to 7.95" is exactly what I need anyway and will save me heaps of time as I keep having to convert the canvas size measurements from cm to inches when I resize!
Esther.

there are two actions--the 8x8 resizes to 7.95 square and the 12x12 resizes to 11.95 square... sounds like you needed to click on the other!

HTH!

OK, now I am confused... I thought you could not use actions in PSE, so how did you use this, Esther? I have PSE, too.

Lynn, I have PSE5 in Windows Vista, and I just put the .atn file into
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\special effects
folder.
I did the same on my WindowsXP machine. I have lots of actions. Not all of them work. I have Katie's drop shadow action set but the dropshadow is the only action I can see when I install it. I think the same may be the case for this Shutterfly action - there is only one .atn file - and it comes up as a single option in Photoshop - unless I'm installing it wrong!
The main reasons actions may not work in PSE is that they are a combination of steps, some of which may not be available in PSE and will throw up a warning message and get skipped.
Well that's my understanding, anyway!
Esther

Remember to hold down the shift key when you're restarting PSE so that everything will rebuild, and then your actions will show up.
