Default The Digital Scrapbook Teacher?

I found this website when I was looking for tutorials for PSE and PS. Does anyone have the book? If so, what do you think about it? I am new to digiscrapbooking and get frustrated because I can't do what I have in my head. Then I put it all away and vow never to scrapbook again!!
Thanks for any comments!
Kerri

Well, I'm not sure about a book by that title, but I'd like to consider myself a "digital scrapbook teacher." lol

I have over thirty tutorials in the DesignerDigitals store. You can see them all HERE.

They are divided into four categories (click on an image to see the series).

The "Getting Started with . . . " series takes you step by step through creating your first page or using templates to their full potential.

The "Laying It All Out" series consists of "make and take" tutorials. You are given everything you need to create the page shown and a full-color pdf with screenshots to guide you through every step.

The "How'd They Do That?" series focuses on specific tricks or techniques that you can use to enhance your own page. These start as a freebie in a monthly chat that I host, and then appear in the store the following weekend.

And finally, the "Reel Time Tips" tutorials are quick little how-to videos that also focus on a specific tool or technique in PS or PSE.

Cassie tutorials are excellent..I would totally recommend them to anyone from new digital scrappers to the more advanced ones. They are easy to follow and I find I learn so much extra material than I even anticipated. I find they have helped my scrapping immensely!

I'm not sure about the book you mentioned.

See you in the gallery!!

Kerrime18. I don't know about the book you are talking about, but I just wanted to chime in and tell you that I highly recommend Cassie's tutorials. I am new to digital scrapbooking and PSE too. I scrapped my first page in the beginning of May. Looking back at that page I should have purchased a tutorial first....lol. They are fantastic! I think I have come a long way in two months couldn't have done it without Cassie's tutorials. Ok that's my 2cents ...best of luck to you!

I would highly recommend Cassie's tutorials... they are EXCELLENT! Easy to understand and will teach you just about anything you want to learn!

You might also look at the "Getting Started" section here at DD... click on the link here or at the toobar at the top.

And, of course, feel free to ask away here on the boards... someone will have your answer!

Kerri,

If you're new to this "digi" world such as myself, you're in for a real treat if you try Cassies tutorials. She's an awesome teacher and best of all she's there for you should you have any questions or concerns.

I bought that same book a while back and it helps with knowing the in's and out's of PSE, which is why I bought it. I'm not that far into the book, I'm only up to the "organizing" part which has been a BIG help in understanding how it's done in PSE5.

BEWARE.....the book I swear is 40lbs!

Good luck!
You'll find this site awesome cause everyone here is so helpful with any questions you may have.

I know this feeling. I promise you that if you get any of Cassie's tutorials you will find that before you even finish your tutorial page you will have another layout in mind. Sometimes that new idea is not even related to the tutorial you are working on, but came to you because of some little tip in the tutorial. Best of luck and look forward to seeing you in the Gallery.

I've read a lot of tutorials (and written my fair share ) and I've never found ANYTHING that tops Cassie. Not only does she write clear, concise directions in plain English...but you'll get the materials to follow along with whatever she is teaching...quite a bargain in my book!

I have not heard of that book, so I can't tell you if it will help. But I can tell you that Cassie's tutorials are awesome! They have helped me more than any book I have bought because her PDF docs are easy to follow, she provides the materials to make what she is teaching, and gives you shortcuts, too! Plus the forum threads here on PSE and PS are really informative!

Stick with it, for me scrapping digitally was slow at first, but the more I learn and work at it, the easier it becomes. Good luck to you!
