Default how do you put printed pages on chipboard

I've seen so many cute albums on line using Maya Road and 7 Gypsies, to name a few. I'm a page protector freak, so are you just adhering your page to the surface and not worrying about the handling? I've tried modge podge on top of pics and don't like seeing the streaks. Those that do alot of this, please share you technique. Also, what is your favorite adhesive?
Thanks!

i don't use page protectors on my chipboard albums. i just figure if it wears out, then it's been loved and appreciated.

i also don't like mod podge. i have used several things:

the red-liner tape that you cut to size - amazingly good adhesive, but can be hard to trim properly and once it's down it's not moving. which means if you put it in the wrong place...you're - literally - stuck with it.

judikins diamond glaze is my personal favorite. i put on a thin bead across the center and around the edge of the chipboard. then i use one of those fake plastic credit cards that come in the mail all the time to spread it into a very thin layer across all the chipboard, layer on the paper, and use a bone folder to smooth over the paper. sticks quite well and i don't get anywhere near as many under-side ripples as with mod podge. make sure you use it over waste paper or wax paper.

looking forward to hearing others' suggestions as well!

I use Xyron adhesive and don't seal the pages with anything. Works for me! From what I "hear" online, mod podge works best used in thin layers, allowing each one to dry in between applications. But I've not tried it!

I don't seal my pages. But I love craftsmart's craft glue. I only use this to adhere my printed pages to chipboard albums. It doesnt warp the paper and it dries really fast. It is also the best for embellishments too!

If you really want to seal your pages with mod podge, or something like that, you should try a very thin and soft bristle brush.

Hope that helps!

thanks for the tips. do you print your pages at a photo lab or at home? do you print matt or gloss? I'm thinking matt is what i'd do if I don't have protectors. thoughts?

for hybrid work, i print from home. i prefer matte paper for just about everything, but it's a personal preference only.

Love to do hybrid albums on chipboard! Like Janice, I too feel that if it gets abuse it means it was well viewed. Hybrid albums like that I print myself (all other stuff I have printed). I like to use the double-sided tape in the dispensers--there are many types, and my current one is from Wal-Mart! I can't ever get Modge Podge to STAY glued. Sigh.

I will go to the lab most of the time for my hybrid pages. The quality is far better than my home prints! And I choose matte too
