You can get a scanner that will scan negatives. Mine does (it's an Epson Perfection 1660 but there are MUCH better ones out there) and it has a little frame thingy that you put on the scanner bed for the negs. I did a lot of my mom's slides that way.

Not sure on the model numbers, but my new one is a wide format and prints up to 13 x 19" YAHOO!!

Congrats on the new printer, Janet! But, don't give up digi just 'cuz you can print pics now! LOL Seriously, I'm not sure what your new fancy-dancy printer is like, but I have a wide-format Epson Photo 1280 and LOVE it! Seems like Epson is the way to go, eh?

Slight hijack here... I have a negative scanner on my scanner, too. Tried it once and it was awful! OK, not totally awful but not really good (and it's supposed to be not-quite-top-of-the-line but really good quality)... any tricks? Mine is the attached kind of thingy, too. Just curious.

Congrats!!

(PS as for scanners I have an Epson 2400) and it does a GREAT job of scanning slides! It's a bit tricky to work out how to do it though.

Yay Janet! That will make life so much easier for you!! ENJOY & with each print you do, just know I am TOTALLY Jelous!!

I can't print my digi scraps in 12x12 at all because it costs $19.95 per picture to have it done professionally & my printer is a crappy normal one. BLAH......

Anyway, Enjoy it twice as much for me!!!

I'm probably not going to print my digi layouts unless I want to put one on the wall or something...I did print a 13 x 19 canvas of a b&w picture of my daughters last night and it is SO COOL!

Give up digi? Oh heck no...I'm hooked!
