Results !!

Well I had a go at a couple of things suggested. I ended up photographing the silk and paper flowers on our front porch out of the direct sun - well it is summer here in Brisbane, Australia. I put them on a sheet of paper that provided a good contrast, then using PSE (very proud of myself for that), copied the photo onto a new layout, then I tried the magic wand technique that someone mentioned, to select the background around the flower and delete it. I am so happy with the result. On a couple of them I had to do a bit of "trimming" zooming in and grabbing some peskie bits that didn't get selected on the first go. I am going to post them into the gallery over the next few days, along with the pages from my MIL's 60th birthday scrapbook I have made, and if anyone is interested I will use 4share or something so others can download them.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to share their ideas and experience, or just a warm welcome.

Erika
