Arrow What time are those chats at???

Ok, so we have all these chats listed at a give time EST but I’m in London, Melbourne, Rome, etc. what time is it for me? The chats are all based on GMT – 5 (Greenwich Mean Time). So here is an example:

Chat time is 10PM EST on a Tuesday

The corresponding times in:

Honolulu: GMT-10 5pm Tuesday
San Francisco: GMT – 8 7pm Tuesday
Chicago: GMT – 6 9pm Tuesday
London: GMT – 0 3am Wednesday
Frankfort: GMT + 1 4am Wednesday
Johannesburg: GMT + 2 5am Wednesday
Singapore: GMT + 8 11am Wednesday
Sydney: GMT + 10 1pm Wednesday

It looks like this is an older post, but is this still the way that the times are listed? So, just to make sure I get it - the "noon chat" on Saturday would be 9am in San Francisco?

I am new to DD Where do you find out about the chat times? the challenges? I think the artists are so creative. Just love all the ideas that come from looking at the great pages you all create.

The chats are always posted on the DD Calendar which I've just linked to.

I'm new to this as well. Can anyone join the chats? I clicked on the DD Calendar link that Randy posted and the only things listed on the calendar are the Thrifty Thursdays. Is there a chat every Saturday? Thanks for any help on this.

At this point the only time charts are scheduled is during the quarterly sale. The next time is in May.

Okay, still getting a handle on this. When is the quarterly sale and when in May is the next chat?

There will be a thread or threads posted with information about the quarterly sale and chats. Once they are on the calendar, you can also sign up to be reminded about each chat. I don't do the reminder because I just get up in the morning and sit at my computer until the final chat with Randy and Katie.

Plan not to eat or drink during this time also. Consider it the DD Chat Diet! Food and toilet time are just not necessary if you are serious about these chats!

Sadly, I'm getting a feeling I may miss the May chat.... crossing my fingers, toes and eyes, hoping that I don't.

When the chats are listed into the calendar, go into the calendar and click on the day, and the list of chats should come up in your time. This is assuming you have your timezone set correctly in your profile. If you go to "user cp" there should be a place in there to check that you have the time zone set correctly.

The other thing I do to double check, is I googled a time zone calculator website, and looked up EST or CST ( I cant remember which one DD is ??). Then you can see what time it is there and compare it to what time it is where you are. If you have an iphone you can set different time zones in the clock feature of that too.

ETA: It is EST and here is the website that I use, http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/tim.../eastern-time/
