Default quick help with text

how can i bring text into PSE from MS word - without a WHITE background!!!! every time i copy and paste i get white background on the text -0 instead of transparent......
this might be a real DUH kinda thing - just have a deadline
am flustered!!!

Ok being NO expert at PSE at alllll I will throw in an idea in the absence of others here...

Are you copying... then going to your page and pasting ? Or are you "opening a text layer"

Maybe thats why cos it sees it as a picture and not a text layer.
Maybe .... and then again maybe I am being DUH .....

don't worry - import with the white background - select the layer - use the magic wand to select all the white in the layer (un-tick contiguous) and then delete...
you should be left with the text only

thank you soo much - got it working again!! YEAh - -just hate it when something should be soo easy and i manage to make it soo difficult!! lol - still getting past the learning curve from powerpoint, i guess! thank you thank you!!
