Default Costs of living - International scrappers!

Have you seen the great new "time capsule" challenge? Scrap the costs of living where you live. I would love to see pages from around the world! I posted mine here:

lynn, i was interested in your prices from nz! i couldn't believe that a child's game that's under $15 in the US could cost over $50. thanks for playing. i hope to see more international pages.

Here's mine from here in Illinois.

And I was thinking the exact same thing Lynn; what are prices around the country? around the WORLD? Great way to find out huh?

Oh and by way, the price of gas is incorrect. I posted the price as of yesterday. It's actually 4 cents higher today. What was I thinking??

I thought this was lots of fun! I tweaked the theme just a bit to compare some things now to "back then"!

Well, it's not exactly the cost of living, but it works with the challenge

Lynn - where did you get the costs for the US for your comparisons??
for that matter, where did you get them from NZ? Or did you just take your daily shopping-knowledge?

Hey Amber - I just googled currency converter and it came up with a good site which allowed me to put in NZ dollars and come up with the US equivalent at the latest exchange rates.

this is a fantastic idea and I have to do mine, it's been fun looking at all of your pages and imagine how fun it will be looking at these pages in 20 years.

I don't know how I missed this?! Haven't had much time for scrapping lately...
I'll do one on the costs in Sweden this weekend, and then I'll try to catch up on all the other ones too!
