Hi again,
Is it easy to change the colors on these date tabs? Or will the whole thing look nasty because the outside and words will all change color? HOW can I make them pretty but colorful? I'm looking for the super-Ct special tricks and not a global color change (I think?) - Tabbed Dates No. 03 - Digital Scrapbooking Elements DesignerDigitals

This is what I would do - and it's certainly not perfect (I'll leave that to someone else!). I use the magic wand to select the light gray bit (If doing the ones with months, don't forget to also select the insides of letters like D). Then make a new layer from your selection (layer>new>layer...). Use your color picker to pick a colour from the rest of your LO, then use the paint bucket to fill the new layer. Change the new layer from normal to multiply (this lets you see the texture of the original layer). Using multiply will actually change the colour a bit, so you may then want to use Hue/Satuaration to play with it till you get it right. Once you're happy, merge the two layers.
Before you you change the second layer to multiply, you could also clip a piece of patterned paper to the new paint-filled layer, merge and then change to multiply - just another option. HTH
