Default Janet Long

LOL I guess this is the easiest way to find someone. I saw a picture of yours, don't remember where, so I can't look it up. I wanted to see how you made the picture. It was of you, with a million other little pictures inside you. I wrote your name down, but not where the picture was. I was sooo interesting. Just wondered where it was and how you contact people when you forget when you see something, hope this was ok.

LOL, I bet this will get Janet's attention! Good thinking!

It sounds like you are describing Janet's team page from the Designer Digitals Team Gallery.

Yep you hit it right on the head that is the one I am talking about and didn't know where it was I saw it. I can see it is alot of tiny squares, that is why I wondered how many layers elements can hold. I thought since I had to do so many I would make a whole page and just delete what I don't need or move together what I can use. Any idea how many layers the software holds. I asked that in a different area.

I've never seen anything about a limit and don't know. I do know I've had over 40, and found it really hard to work with. I've seen a lot of tutorials where the instructor merges several sets of 'go together' images just for that reason.

I'll be interested in hearing if anyone has an answer to this one.

I've had at least 200 at once before---I wound up merging many at the end. I don't know what the limit is.

I did this one with free software called Andrea Mosaic. It's not nearly as cool as Janet's lovely page, but it was fairly easy to do.

I've done a layout with over 250 layers. You'd be amazed at what you can do.

This page took a lot of time, but it was really less complicated than it looks. The most time-consuming part is finding all the photos. Start with a photo of yourself. Extract the photo. I did do some artistic filter on it to make the details on my face stand out more. I just played around with the different filters until I found one that I liked. Then I made a grid of squares to fill in the extracted photo. Next I clipped photos to each square. When I was finished I played around with the opacity and blending modes until I got the look I wanted. I don't remember if I ended up with the extracted photo or the small photos in front, but I remember playing around with that too.

Good luck. It was a lot of fun. I also did one for my daughter that had small photos of things she liked.
