OMG I took my things off the desktop and put them into Documents and I took the numbers off my folders and typed in a name I would recognize, then I tried to get the preview on it. Now most of it doesn't load into elements. I can open it on my desktop, but when I open it in elements all the folders say empty. I have lost most of it.
I also guess I don't know how to use the things I ordered cuz is this how they work? I have Messy Stitched Butterflies White No 1 by KP. When I pull it into elements the whole package comes in. Are they suppose to come in as a package or five individual butterflies. The Gingerbread Whimsey No 1 comes all in one, but I used the margue tool to copy and paste those cuz they are individuals, the butterflies over lap. Is this how the come into elements? as a whole package. If not I have lost EVERYTHING.
How can I get them to load into elements what has happened HELP HELP what a crappy day.

I am on a PC and I was on the PC all day, I mean all day working on one page. Trying to make a template that I didn't need and don't know how to do. Anyway I shut down the computer and walked away for two hours.
I just started it up again and all seems fine. Everything comes into elements and KP butterflies are all seperated. I feel like a real goof. Someone told me once, before you ever panic about the computer shut it down and restart it first. Also you haven't deleted unless you have pressed delete. Oh ya that was my daughter.
So all is fine, so to panic. It really was scarey though.

You haven't lost them. Did you load them into the Elements Organizer? Is that what you mean? If you load them into the Organizer, and then move them/rename them on your computer, Elements will think they're "gone." You have to reconnect the missing files. Sounds like the restart helped you out, but it would still be good to know what was going on so that you don't have to go through that again.

When you say "pull into Elements," are you talking about the Editor (where you make your pages) or into the Organizer? I can help you if you give a direction.

I took the numbers off my folders. Your downloaded folders do not have #s on them. They have the name of the product. I'm sorry but I really am not sure what you might be doing but it sounds as if you are changing the zip files, which I wouldn't do.

EL467297 this is the name of the ZIP file for Gingerbread Whimsey No1. The opened zip folder which contains 12 gingerbread people in .png form, a preview in .jpg form and a TOU file, and is names Gingerbread Whimsey No 1.

Here is some information on how to unzip files. hth!

Thanks all is well. I meant when I was in elements and I would try to bring in KP Gingerbread, the preview came in, same as the butterflies. Then alot of my items wouldn't come in at all, it would say the folder was empty, but if I would go out of elements and just go to my desktop and open the folders they would all be there. I couldn't bring them into elements where I edit to work on them. I use organizer very seldom, I started putting my pictures in there, but got backed up and not sure how to use it. I have the pictures in albums and tagged, but haven't been there for awhile. Everything is great though no worries.

I think I know what message you're talking about (and it scared me the first few times too). Within a zip file there are going to be a couple of different types of files, depending on what the designer included. The digi items will be png, jpeg, tiff or psd file types, generally. The terms of use may be in a jpeg, word document or pdf. There may be store blinkies also, or shortcuts to the store included in the download. When you import the entire folder into the PSE Organizer, you will get that "files missing" message, and you can just click ok. Then it will import just the digi items. PSE can't recognize the blinkies, and oftentime the terms of use files either, that's all it means. As long as the digi elements themselves are importing fine, then you are fine. Deep, cleansing breaths. :}

Even better, Designer Digitals doesn't include blinkies, url blurbs. Just the good stuff.
