Default Found my Christmas mojo

...in a spring template!

I'm making an album of family Christmas times through the years; beginning with my childhood through to my kids' adult celebrations.

I have done and redone several pages and then redone them again. I even had some printed and decided I hated them. I've tried many different templates, lots of kits, then no template at all and still more kits. I was beginning to think the album was just not meant to be . . . this wasn't fun any more.

Then I found Katie's template "Hello Spring", complete with little yellow duckies! For some reason, the arrangement of it just spoke to me. So strange as it may be, I am going to use variations on a spring duckie template for the pages of my Christmas book. I guess we never know where inspiration comes from.

Thanks, Katie!!

Here's the before and after: (note- the before is embarrassing)

You are so right! It often happens to me. I have as many dud pages as I have finished ones. It is interesting to look at those two pages that are fundamentally the same, but thatclustering on the bottom left made a big difference. Thank goodness we have Katie and others with their design skills to point us in the right direction. And I'm so glad you've found the kick start you needed!!

You were probably drawn to the duckies "Scrapbird". Awesome page!

It's funny how things work out sometimes. I can't say that I dislike the first version, but the second one is definitely better

I agree! They are both pretty, but I do like the second one better! Guess it helps to view a template as a "sketch" and not just a "plug-in"!! Templates are so versatile!

Thanks for your wonderful comments!

But I'm blushing here . . . because I know birds . . . and those aren't duckies at all. They're chicks. Guess I really have lost it.
