I would totally agree Myra. I have done December Daily (although mine starts at Thanksgiving and ends on Christmas) the last two years and I love the end result. We are decorating for Christmas today as well and I just placed the two albums under the Christmas tree with the other classic Christmas books that the kids love to look at this time of year. I just love having record of this special time of the year! Thank you to Ali and everybody else who has participated in this project which inspired me to give it a go!

I love this project too. It's my fifth year! I have a question though, my first few albums were paper 8x8 hybrid albums but I want to do mine completely digi this year. What size have you printed your albums? I'm thinking of making a 12x12 but do you think it will be too big?

Myra, you are so right. I just looked at mine from last year, and I need to find the two from the years before that. I was thinking of not doing it this year, but I couldn't help myself after I looked through the book.
I did the first two as hybrid albums and went with a 12x12 digi version last year. I really like the smaller version better. I think I'll go with an 8.5x11 digi one this time.

I really like the hybrid one I did last year. I did the prep work and then found a 5x7 album at Target. With some tweaking, I used a bunch of Ali's various templates and overlays. I also finally! got around to printing on some transparency sheets which I really liked.
This year, sadly no time, so I'll have to be a voyeur and smile over all yours!

The boys were looking at mine too while decorating the tree. 2009 and 2010 were such radically different years for us. In December 2009, we had no idea that in January 2010 we would have to go through the terrible earthquake and in December 2010, we were still a little numb and discouraged with the political situation of the country. December really did not feel like December.
2011 promises to be different, I wish we can concentrate more on Christmas. I'm going for it for the third year in a row, completely digital and 12X12. I'm excited to see what comes out !

I have done it for the past two years, the first: 6x6 paper pages in an album that ended up being way too small for the contents and last year I printed my all digital pages at 8x8 for an album which ended up being way too big. Go figure! I did like the 8x8 better though.

The girls were just looking at the December 2009 book last week! I'm excited to get my 2010 in the mail for them to look at! And I am going to do another one this year! The girls are only so little for so long... I love having the photos of them on a daily basis doing whatever it is that we do all month long. Mine goes from Dec 1 through the end of the month. (kind of) Not much usually happens between the 26th and New Years, so I skip a few days.
2009 is all different formats and is an 8x8. 2010 actually goes together and is a 10x10 from Persnickety! Can't wait for it! 10x10 is the perfect size for me! Not too big - not to small. ![]() ![]()

i'm doing my first this year...a project with my mom. we are each designing a few coordinating pages (we bought the same kits, brushes, and templates and she is also designing some pieces for us too). we are hoping to also put together books for my sister and sister-in-law with their december photos (whether it is daily for them or not).
my mom and i are both giddy with excitement, not only to have a great excuse to scrap, but also as a way to feel a little closer through the season--i am 10 times zones and half a world away from her. thanks, Myra, for the fun encouragement that it is worth it!

I've never done a December Daily but I am planning on playing along! I am excited, and my DH just laughs when I tell me "not till it's December!" Hope I can come up with fun things to do and scrap about. And hoepfully my girls cooperate for good photos...and pray I have mojo all month long!

It is so worth it Heather! Jake and I read 2009 together last night and had a few laughs. I had to rush through a couple pages that could reveal Santa as maybe not being real. This is his last year to really believe I'm afraid, but luckily I didn't blow it!

I so want to do this for the first time. There is no way I can work on the album now, but I am going to keep a journal out on the kitchen island to keep notes and keepsakes in. I am knee deep in completing some gift albums over the next several weeks. I have always loved seeing everyone's pages posted in the gallery.
