That's so great Heather, there's no comparison is there? The digi far exceeds the paper versions.

And you know people talk about different trends in the digi world, styles of doing things, etc. I've been seeing your paper to digi layouts and even though they're from 2009, they look so fresh and modern. So clearly you were ahead of your time!!!

I agree - the gorgeous detailing you can achieve in the digi pages really makes them stand out. And what a fun project - you must have had such fun hunting out the papers and digi elements to replace the ones in the paper pages!

Big difference. Amazing how closely they resemble each other though, Lynn is right, it must have been fun to recreate these!

Its funny how similar the stuff is. I never set out to recreate things exactly but i found as I was going I have a lot of digi stuff that looked the same and sometimes i liked the layout design so i would just copy it to make the project go faster.

I was going to comment on how similar they are, too. When I first pondered whether I should go digital I did a few pages both ways and compared results. I was surprised at how similar the pages were, but of course the digital version won hands down for speed and versatility! I can see why you would be replicating the designs. This is a big project!

That is interesting! I have never paperscrapped and frankly don't *see* what it's all about.
I think your digi pages look way better - it's hard to say why. I like the clean look of digi pages better.

On the other hand, it's amazing how close you were able to digiscrap these pages. Yet still the digi pages win.

I can only imagine the 'bulk' of the paper version.

Interesting Heather. It is also nice to have the pictures scanned in - I see that you have done some post-processing on the photos and they look better now in my opinion!

This is so much fun to see, Heather! I used to paper scrap, too, and now I see those lumpy, bumpy pages and great big albums and shudder!! LOL Digi rules!!

How wonderful that you were able to recreate those pages. I tried paper scrapbooking but didn't stick with it.

I really do like the digi pages better, even the pictures with editing look so amazing. But I have to say that I am impressed with your paper pages. My brief try at paper pages were pathetic. Cutting a picture into a circle and putting a mat behind it was as good as it got. Thanks to all of the amazing work of designers even a very basic digi page outshines anything I could do with paper.

Aww thanks, that is so sweet. I love digi and could never go back to paper.

Wow! Your pages are just amazing! Love seeing the digi vs paper versions. Both types of pages are amazing, but the photos on the digi pages just pop! Gorgeous!

Thanks for sharing the examples, Heather - I agree with everyone I prefer the digitals ones.
But what a BIG job - I would love to start converting mine but I'm such a slow scrapper I'd never finish my new photos to scrap!
You go girl!

Love your re-dos, Heather!

I made so few paper layouts I could actually re-do them in a night. LOL! I finished so few pages - I had a hard time with paper scrapping. The mess... The beautiful papers I didn't want to use until I was sure the project was right... I'll choose the crop tool over a paper trimmer anyday.

It's cool to see both version! Thanks for sharing, Heather! Even if you did a great job with paper, I prefer your digital scrap!
I will never go back to paper either! Hooray for digital!
