Default Request for Cassie

Cassie, there are a lot of people who want to try this watercolor technique who have PSE. The only version of PSE that I have is 7. From what I can see, it should be possible to do it in elements. I THINK everything is there, but I don't use elements often enough to be familiar with all of it. You be the guru, Girl!! Can't you do a tutorial for them? We used the wishing well in the field tutorial at photoshoproadmap.com for ours. (It's not difficult. Just takes a little while. And I tinkered with the wet brush. It comes up set to dual brush in my software, and I turned dual off.) And I, for one, Would love to have this as a PDF for my files. I had to do a lot of refering back and forth.

Thanks for the idea. I'll tinker a bit and see what I can come up with. Clearly, we need this to apply to scrapbooking so it can be even cooler.

I just mentioned it in the gallery that I can't find any tutorials that aren't for PS. I use PSE7 (hoping to upgrade to 10) and can't find a way to do it!! Hoping you can help, Cassie!! :0)

Cassie, you are quite right that these online tutorials are not ideal for scrapbooking. A tutorial would be fabulous!
Here are a few problems I found with the three online tutorials I tried:
a) often the sample image which was supposed to be used was no longer available for download
b) the instructions are for smaller images (750x550) which is too small for a scrap page and I don't know how to scale the dimensions of the brushes and filters to work (eg would you adjust the radius and threshold of Smart Blur if the photos is bigger?)
c) the most effective part of it all is when you flatten your watercolor, clip to a watery mask and blend that mask to textured paper (multiply mode) and that is not in any of the tutorials!

I was thinking this same thing, Esther. Why reinvent the wheel when Katie's Watery elements will come in SO handy!

Cassie,

I'm anxiously awaiting a tutorial too - I love trying new things! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Can someone post a link to what you mean by *this watercolour techinque* ? I've been absent from the forum for a few days, and I think I have missed something BIG. LOL

I added one of Agnes' many pages to the gallery stand outs this week - go check there but seriously go to her gallery too. You will want to learn more - I sure do!

I found a few tutorials online, but if Cassie is going to do one it will be WAY better than any of them!
