Marnie did a marvelous job with the Heritage Challenge. I love how she used the background paper with this vintage "school days" photo. The little cluster of elements is also wonderful!

There were so many lovely layouts posted in the gallery for the 3rd Quarter Sale Chats this week-end. I enjoyed seeing them all. Also, don't forget we have a 3rd Quarter iPod Shuffle Contest (http://www.designerdigitals.com/digi...d-shuffle.html) running until Thursday this week. I spotted this terrific looking layout by Mariap in that gallery:

I'm a big fan of Carol's (carollee) work, and this beautiful page just leaped out of the gallery. I love the wonderful photo of her and Esther, the rich color of the background paper, and the way the butterflies draw the eye across the page.

I started going through all the DD scrapazoola fest this weekend and absolutely fell in love with so many of the stories that were told...many of them by first time posters.

Thank you, Deb, for appreciating my little adventure into paper craft. I'm thinking seriously of doing that chicken as a mixed media project with cut paper - but that may be as far as that goes.... thinking about it.

My favorite this week was Marnie's post last evening "over the lake". I love it for a number of reasons. 1st, I know this balloon. He flies around here a lot. 2nd, this is just a spectacular photo in every sense of the word, and 3rd, Marnie's used her fabulous talent to turn it into a wonderful page - filled with scenery, and color, and whimsy.

Oh my! Just got home and I'm high five-ing the cat!!! I've been babysitting the last 24 hours so I hadn't even taken a look at this thread until now. Cassie, I am totally honored with your recognition--it means SO much to me! I really treasure that family photo and am thrilled others enjoyed it too!

And Shari (b2halter)--how fun that we can 'share' the beauty of this balloon cross country! Thank you dearly for the nod and for your kind words--they are much appreciated!

So many amazing artists in the DD community! I'm going with Terry's (MIDA78466) adorable page about her granddaughter painting her daddy's toe nails! She looks very intent and what a great sport of a dad! Just love how Terry documented this father/daughter moment!

I absolutely LOVE . LOVE . LOVE this page with the simple title MOM by annette! It is her first layout in the Designer Digital's Gallery . . . so I want to say a huge welcome! The little triplet calves and the fabulous photograph really drew me in.
