Question Uninstalling or Deleting Fonts in Windows 7

I have tried to find an answer to this question by googling but can't. I have so many fonts I don't use and would like to remove them but I know some are important. Can anyone point me to a place where I could find a list of fonts that can't be deleted? I know I can delete or remove fonts that I have installed, but there are loads of strange fonts that just seem to be there! Thanks loads in advance!

Google "fonts supplied with Windows 7" and the first hit is a list that shows you what came with the computer. Make sure it's the microsoft.com link and you should be good to go.

Julie, back when I was using a PC I DID delete all the Asian fonts that I knew we would never use at work. Other than that, I never deleted fonts supplied by the operating system.

Can you? I guess so but why? They are limited in number so if it were me, I'd rather be safe. Just my thoughts.

Maureen is right, there are foreign fonts that if you know you'll never need them, you don't have to keep them. I would keep all the standard fonts and anything that says system.

I'm glad you asked that, Maggie, I wanted to do the same thing! Thanks, Sarah.
