EHD/Time Machine

I emailed Seagate to find out if when I hook up my Goflex for Mac will time machine automatically add any 'new items' that I have added to my scrapbook files (new purchases, pages etc.). When setting up my Mac , I skipped that whole section because I was too frustrated with other things and I knew I had Carbonite. They gave me a lot of links...which I read, but no where does it say 'yes' or 'no'. I'm a simple gal...lots of black and white in my world not a lot of greys..does there always have to be 100 links to answer 1 question! Can anyone give a yes or no?

Not sure depends on how you set thing up with how often you update etc... But go into time machine and check. ie if it has done a recent update go into time machine/capsule and see.

I see my 2T lights MyMachine ehd flicker each time I add or change things on my iMac. That's just what I observe fwiw.

To check how often you are updated go to the Time Machine icon in your Dock and right click the icon.

You will see the explanation of when/what you are updated hourly, daily and monthly.

By right clicking, you can also choose to do an update any time you want.
