Default Google Reader

I had mentioned in one of the chats that I have my favourite galleries on my google reader so I never miss a page they put up (like the stalker I am!!! ha)

Mollie said she didn't realise you could put a gallery on google reader and suggested I mention how, to anyone who doesn't know and would like to. So this is what I did.

Open up the gallery of your choice.
I clicked on the address line to copy it.
Went into google reader and went to "add a subscription"
Pasted the gallery address in the box that comes up and clicked "add"
And voila it's there listed amongst your reader feeds or whatever they're called.

Except if it's like mine it just says "Digital Scrapbooking"
So to rename it and making sure I had clicked on the title there to highlighted the subscription I then clicked "feed settings"
Then "rename subscription"

Then mine are listed as "DD - (name)"

Then any time that person posts a new page I can click on the link and it takes me right back to DD so I can comment on it.

YAY!

After you mentioned it in the chats on Saturday, I got all excited and spent some time doing that yesterday Carol! It's great! Between that and Pinterest, my bathrooms did NOT get cleaned.

I use the NetNewsWire reader to do the same thing, Carol. I have several blogs and several specific galleries at DD and some news web sites in my reader.

I used to do that, but I would have to add too many galleries to the google reader, so I just reserve it for the blogs I follow now (when I have time for that ) Plus I hated missing all those other pages... It is a great tool though...

Oh, yes, I've been stalking several DD ladies for a long time now on my Google reader! (Denise, Kayleigh, Anke . . .) I love it. It gives me something fun to look forward to, and I don't miss anything.

I gave this a try but Google Reader says my search could not find any feeds???

Editing to say that I stand corrected. I was trying this for a scrapper at a different site. It worked fine for this site.
