Default Shutterfly/Persnickety

I know that these type of questions are purely subjective but I thought I'd hear what you ladies think.
I have offered to do a book for my in-laws on their recent trip throughout Asia.
I have never done one of these, but know folks that have. I am wanting to do something sophisticated as they want to use it as a 'coffee table' book.
I'm liking the look of Persnickity Signature collection. Have you considered one over the other and if so why did you choose the one that you did? What about quality...keeping in mind the 'sophistication factor'?
Thanks for the help...your comments, advice and guidance have been fabulous!

I've only used Shutterfly for making books, but I did do a 12x12 wedding album as a wedding gift for a friend, which they keep out on their coffee table. I have always been happy. In the one case with a binding issue they immediately sent me a new book with no hassle.

Just be sure to turn off vivid pics!

I have done books with Shutterfly and I must say that their customer service is very good. I have had to replace several books and never had a problem. I find their creative process to be somewhat complicated but their books are very nice. I recently made a book with blurb and I really like the results there also. I never tried Persnickety for books, just pages...

I have done books with a few different companies and I always return to Shutterfly- with some of the other companies, I have even sent books back-so I would suggest Shutterfly, just because I know that they seem to produce a consistently high quality product!
Good luck, and I would also suggest that you get a template set that suits your style and use it throughout-it will make your life much easier!

Good idea on templates. I will have to 'search' that out and see what is out there.

Check out shutterfly - they have pre-designed travel albums (I think if not they certainly have lots of examples of travel albums done by others - on Asia.
They are extra-ordinary!!

I have only used Shutterfly... I am almost finished with another book that I plan to print at Persnikety. They have a 10x10 inch size book that I think would be so perfect! I'll let you all know when I get it. There were such good things said on their blog about quality, etc... so I feel confident with giving them a try!

Please do let me know...the 10x10 is what caught my eye as well as the quality of their signature collection...even though I haven't heard from anyone who has printed on with them
