Default Shutterfly album

Hi there! I made a shutterfly album and learned (the hard way) that I need to resize the pages. I am trying to resize them and am wondering (I am making a 12x12 album) what size the pages need to be? 11.95x11.95 or 11.75x11.75? The reason I ask is because they sent me here and i am not sure which numbers I am supposed to be using? Any help would be great!

Thanks!
Char

I never resize my Shutterfly pages. I do make sure nothing of significance is within 0.25 inches from ever edge and go from there. Don't forget to post it here when you are done!

I think many of us learned the hard way, too!

I make my pages 12 x 12 and upload them to Shutterfly in that size for use in both 8 x 8 and 12 x 12 album sizes. Like Doris does, I make sure there is nothing important to the design at the edges, so if the edges get cut off it is OK.

I do the same as the others, but you could also use the shutterfly page templates that have guides. These are on their site. Just search for template. Welcome to DD! You'll have to link us to your book when you are finished. :O)

Me too, I must admit I resize now to 11.95 x 11.95 for a 12 inch album. But I've uploaded many a page in the past 12 x 12 for the 12 inch album and as long as nothing vital is close to the edge, it's fine.

I use Katies Shutterfly ready actions, every page I complete, I run this action which automatically resizes it to 11.95... viola!

Yep. I run an action that flattens, brightens, sharpens and then does Katie's action to resize, then saves as a jpeg.

Where is the action you all are talking about? What does it do?

The action is in this General Digital Talk forum but it is buried:
A FREE action for your Shutterfly projects
It just changes the size of your image. It is nice because it is quick (you just have to click) and you don't have to remember the required dimensions.
