Default Cassie Jones Brushes Tutorial

Okay...so this isn't really about the tutorial, but I am still trying to figure out this site and for some reason I keep getting blocked by not having access to certain info....anyway...I started the folder/subfolder thing. Since I didn't have very much it was pretty easy. I also started folders with my pics.
So, here is my question. I use PSE9...is there anyway to get the things I want to work with on a specific project from the folders under 'applications' straight into the editor? or do I have to upload everything to the organizer?

Thanks for all your help!
Jennaz

Oh...and one more question....once I copy the entire download file to my 'kits' folder can I then delete the download in the download file?

Ummmmm . . . was that thread title just a sly ploy to lure me in? LOLOLOLOL

As for your actual question, when you're working in PSE, you can go to File > Open and navigate to the individual file you want to work with to open it. There are other approaches, but I'd need to know if you're using a PC or a Mac.

Once you have your download unzipped and saved where you want it, you can delete the duplicate files.

HTH!

Okay, good. I use a Mac, too. I sometimes use the File > Open option, but I usually just right-click (or Ctrl-click) the file I want to open and then select "Open With . . . " and select my software. You can also just drag the file down to the icon for your software in the dock. A lot of people prefer that method.

One more thing . . . if you go to one of your brushes files (.abr) and hit Cmd-I to bring up the file info for it, about halfway down the resulting info box you'll see a place for "Open with:" and a drop down menu. Select PSE9 from that menu and then click "Change All." After doing that, you can just double-click an .abr file in your Finder and it will AUTOMATICALLY load it into PSE! Fabulous, eh?
