Default Cassie Jones Brushes Tutorial

Hi

I bought the tutorial and made my way through it, except at the end she says she finished it off with 'some journaling layers' and drop shadows. I figured out the drop shadow from PSE9 but I don't know how to do a journaling layer to fit in the little note card. There is no specific layer for that, so I think I have to create a new layer.

help!

Hi, jennaz.

You can add journaling to the layout by selecting the horizontal type tool (T) then drawing a box the size you want for your journaling. Then select the desired font settings and type your journaling.

Feel free to PM me if you run into any trouble.

Thanks so much...I am so new to all of this and feel completely overwhelmed...in fact I don't know if overwhelmed truly describes how I feel!

We all felt like that and probably still do sometimes! But we're committed to helping each other in any way we can. Just ask anytime you have a question. The fun is the journey in learning. Welcome to our community!

I remember vividly how frustrated I would get at times and how little I understood about the whole process when I was following instructions. It can be a very rewarding journey though, you will be surprised at how much you will learn if you keep with it! Cassie is an excellent instructor and she will always help you when you get stuck! And we are here too
