My culling goes so far as to put it in a folder that says I may never use it, or on an EHD-I just can't bring myself to forever dump something I thought I loved enough to pay for and bring into my supply home! Every so often, I browse through my supplies, just like I did when I paper scrapped!
I will say, I have sold most of my paper supplies, so I have "culled" a bit!

Hi Erika! I keep all my Designer Digitals supplies, but, I regularly move them off my computer hard drive by saving to an EHD and to CD's.
I am slowly giving away my paper supplies that I used for card making. I will keep some of my solid color cardstock because I still make an occasional card only now I do it digitally.

well if i have used something a million times i might let it go, or if i get a kit and know a piece of it just isn't me and I would never use it then I delete it. I rarely need to delete any DD supplies but I have gotten rid of many many many supplies from other places.

I am so UNlike Anna.
If I haven't used it in a year, it will probably be fresh to me and I'll love it! I don't know that I've used certain things a million times but I know what I like and I'll use some of these things for-evah. Now there are a few things I bought for a specific project e.g. my Hawaii album, and I truly never really want to see them again for a long, long time. That album almost did me in. But I'm also of the mindset that I paid for it, so keep it if it's not bothering anyone. I have learned the hard way that the one year rule rarely applies to almost anything in my life. I have often used something every two or so years and am glad I didn't have to replace x,y or z. I put my scrap stuff in the same category. All of my stuff is on 2 ehds now, so it isn't a question of space. I did go through a lot of my stuff about a year ago and got rid of most of the freebies I got in my first year around the web. A lot of 2009 giveaways were really not any better than some of the things I could have made myself, and that's not saying much! What I am doing is buying less. Ask me this question in about a year and I'll see if that's true.

I have to admit that I have a real problem of having too much to find what it is I want to use. I have created a directory that I call "seldom used". I place all the supplies that I really doubt I will ever use in this directory. If the stuff is very amaturish, I toss it, but the rest goes in this directory. Occasionally I have been known to go in a pull something from it, but I seldom do. I think the only reason I keep them is that some of the stuff in this directory are items that are just not my style. However, I have so much to learn that occasionally I push myself to scrap outside the box, and realize an item in this seldom used directory will work for a specific page.
When I first started digital, I searched the internet far and wide for all the many free kits. I also started buying kits, here and there, but I have to say, once I found DD, I found myself seldom buying elsewhere at first, and now, mainly because I have so much wonderful DD stuff, I never buy elsewhere. Everything I need is here.

Easy to cull non DD stuff ! Most of that has gone
.I've never really found a need to cull DD stuff ... it's just all too nice. Even something in a kit that I think I may not like stays just in case. I have 44GB of DD stuff on a 1TB hard drive so it's not really a space issue (...yet ! ...).

Wow, I don't think I have ever thrown anything out, unless it was really pot ugly
(and that would have been old non DD stuff) I have all supplies on an EHD (and several more for backup) I like my choices

I recently started trying too "cull" my stuff and it's not as hard as I expected...my taste has certainly changed from the beginning so some things were just ugly now to me...then there were alot of similar things...there are certain designers that there's no way I could ever toss anything of theirs..bet you can guess who! LOL! But I just had way way too much and it's easier to manage now...and I'm not through yet!

Thanks for all your responses! I have gotten rid of a LOT of traditional stuff (I used the $$$ I made to buy my Canon xti!) but have only gotten rid of a few digi things.
I too haven't ditched anything DD. Most of what I have has a very classic feel and will always look good!
