From time to time a tutorial will give you numbers to plug in if you want the same colors the instructor is using. Where does one get these numbers? I used to have the name of a book, but have lost it. Thanks.

When you open the color picker you see them. You can open the color picker by double clicking on the foreground or background colors on the Tools panel. You'll see the Red, Green and Blue numbers labeled R: G: and B:.
The number below labeled # is the hexadecimal equivalent of the RGB. If I want to match a color I usually copy and paste the hexadecimal number.
