Default Finally - scrappingsimply sale

Ever since you girls raved about your recent print orders from scrappingsimply, I have been waiting. I had signed up a while back but had never ordered any. With all the talk about using the D Ring albums, and the prints from scrappingsimply, I decided to switch over, as moving pages in post bound albums is a pain, and I scrap all different dates at the same time. Sale is only thru 3/22, so don't procrasinate.

Anke, I added a prepaid print package to my shopping cart ... the order process then included $5 shipping ... so I removed the order. Is it normal to pay shipping on their prepaid plans and then pay shipping again when you actually place an order? Or do you have to use all the credits at one time so that the standard $5 shipping has already been paid?

I have been credited back the 5.00 to my account when buying the prepaid credits.

yes, just send them an email. They will credit you the shipping amount until you ready to have something shipped

Jen and Anke ... thanks! I sent an email and they responded very quickly stating the $5 shipping charge would automatically be credited back to my card.

Questions to the ScrappingSimply users - I have never used a service for prints, but should I expect a bit of each print to be shaved off the edge (and how much on average), or are they able to print them as we made them (I typically print 8x8 on an 8 1/2x11 sheet and then trim, so I haven't had to think about this issue).

I have never noticed any cut off edges Joanie. That is one reason I like to print my pages this way. I don't have to worry about moving all my stuff toward the center and I love overlays and stitching etc. that always gets cut off with printing books.

Joanie ... this is what Scrapping Simply says on the FAQs page "We print full bleed (edge to edge) prints. We actually look at what is being trimmed off and make sure that it isn't trimming any text or making borders appear to be uneven. In the printing world you would leave about 1/4" on the edge of your page as non critical data (text, pictures, etc). Please keep this in mind as you are designing your pages!".

I had some 12x12 pages printed with them a couple of years ago just as a test and everything turned out perfect. I ordered a prepaid plan this time to use for my nephew's high school sports pages so I can finish a sport/season, get pages printed, put in an album and give to him and then just add pages each year.

Thanks for the info Anke & Gail. I was a bit nervous about spending the money for a Plan, but with all the raves from the many people that print through them, I really wanted to start getting them printed on real photo paper. The inkjet just doesn't cut it.

I really think you are going to be happy with them. Let me know when you get some printed.

I must be missing something, where do you find the pricing information on the prepaid credits? Or do you have to register first to find the information? I've looked but can not find it on their site.

Thanks.

Rsdtmd, I ordered my first prepaid credits today. You do have to register first, two boxes which ask which plan you want to use and then the pricing page after the registration info! I winged it and it was pretty easy!
