I've used HP printers for years and have never done this. But, I did go to my print function and clicked on preferences. Then there is a color tab; on that tab there is a button for advanced color -- when I click on that it looks like I have the controls you are looking for.
Mine is a photosmart printers, so maybe these options are only available on photosmart, I've no idea how. I'm not sure if this will help you, but good luck I'm assuming since you uninstalled and re-installed several times that you are talking about whatever software/drivers came packaged with the printer and not just a windows default install. |

I have always had Photosmart printers too, but I have always used the printer menu, ie on the printer it's self, not on the computer, to adjust the brightness etc. On my copier/printer/scanner I press "set up" and scroll through using the arrow keys and the OK button to set parameters.
In playing with my computer now, if I go to my start up menu and click on "printer and faxes", I can access a menu called "printer tasks". "Select printer preferences" is the third in the list and there is a saturation menu! Hope that this helps! Susan |

Thanks everyone! You know what I'm talking about! The HP help don't! I think I may have bought the only Photosmart without the color options on the printer screen. I guess I need to bring it back - aaaaargh!!! Thanks again - I now know I'm not going nuts!
I've checked all the preferences and there really isn't a place to adjust the color - either they left it out or the printer is so smart it's going to choose for me!! I want my color tab!!!
