Default If you print 8X8, how do you put them in your albums?

I have 12X12 albums. They are mostly left over from the days of paper scrapping but I've purchased some also in the past year simply because the 4X6 photo sleeves (mostly We R Memory Keepers) have the most variety for 12X12. I wish they were easier to fit on a book shelf, but that's another post.......

I've been printing my 12X12 layouts in the 8X8 size at home on the Epson 810using luster paper. I'm happy with the quality. I've been simply putting them into the 8.5 X11 page protectors (cheap in bulk) without trimming off the white area surrounding them. It doesn't bother me very much although I guess it would look better if I trimmed them and put them on colored or patterned card stock.

What do you do?

A couple different things, depending on the page. Some pages are put into an 8x8 book. Others are attached to a corresponding cardstock and then into the 12x12 book. If I were creatice I'd probably embellish the 12x12 but, by that time, I'm done with it.

I have 8x8 albums that I use. I don't know WHAT I'm going to do with all my old 12x12 albums! And yet when I see paper scrap supplies and 12x12 albums in a store I still find myself admiring them all!! Old habits...

Check out this thread.

If all else fails you could try selling them at a garage sale, ebay or just giving them away.

I put mine in 8x8 albums. I like the smaller size.
It's a good idea to pick up extra 8x8 page protectors when you purchase your albums since digital pages are flat so the album holds more pages than a traditional one.

I only print into bound books, but I have seen people who have largely 12x12 albums, with different sized page protectors mixed amongst their 12x12s, and it looks great. Just another way to go if you like creating in a mix of sizes.

After years of 12x12 paper scrapbooks and then spending oodles on 8x8 pretty albums, I finally changed to three-ring binders. I fill them with archival Avery paper protectors. Since I scrap a lot I just put the 8x8 layouts in without cutting the white away. I'm starting to love this system. Once in awhile I create a 8.5 x11 page and it fits, too, along with some scanned memorabilia. I can then put a pretty layout in the front slip cover and a label in the binding. They fit perfectly on a bookshelf and I can tell right away which scrapbook it is. It definitely isn't elegant, though, but it's really organized and much cheaper!!
