I've heard very good things about this company. I have a groupon from them that I got before Christmas that expires at the end of next month. Let me know what you think when you get your books. :O)

Can you upload a full page digital layout in Photobook America? Or just photos and then you have to use their designs?

I'm downloading the software now and will back about using full bleed pages uploaded from our own designs. I am pretty sure it is a go but will confirm.

SO I did the Photobook canada deal which I think is an offset of Photobook America.
I did the 12 by 12 guest book (standard matte pages) which included 40 pages.
You can upload full bleed pages easily.
The quality of the book is excellent.
The paper feels thick.
I did find that the photos look great but less vivid as they do with shutterfly book. My guess is this has to do with the matte paper. You can use their lower photo or higher grade photo paper. (The matte is the intermediate grade paper)
You can definitely do full bleed photos/los with one click to make them a page.
I think the deal is a great deal and would do them again.

*If anyone orders them. You can make one page the cover spine and back page all in one psd document, then flatten and upload and your spine will be PERFECT!

Thanks, Doris. They are also having some serious bonus offers on the home site page, including a free upgrade to their photo lustre paper.

Not sure those bonus offers would be applied Patricia. It's worth a call to their customer service, which I found to be very helpful.

Forgot to add shipping for the book was more than shutterfly. It's under their pricing.

I finally ordered my book from Photobook America and it was good. I used the same coupon, it was available here a while back. I also ordered the same book with Shutterfly with a 30% off coupon. Both books 86 pages and both books ended up costing the same. I kept the Shutterfly and gave the Photobook America as a Christmas present. I like the glossy cover better, but other than that, the quality of the books was about the same. I did find that it was easier and quicker to put the book together and there was more room to adjust what would be trimmed with Photobook America.

Overall, I was surprised that the cost came out the same as Shutterfly, and I guess I am just a Shutterfly snob, because I will stick with them and use the coupons when they come out. Also Photobook America sent me a 50% off coupon soon after I received my book, which again would make their books about the same cost as Shutterfly with a Shutterfly coupon.

I'll have to give them a try. I like the idea of an 11x11 book.
