I took it, errrr, I signed up for it but got busy with the holidays and haven't gone over the materials or watched the videos yet. What's the deadline for the new class? I could try to look it over in the next few days since I am getting my life back (just sent the last of 3 college boys back today *sob*)

I was thinking about the class too. Would love to hear a review on it!

I got to Day 1 and Day 2 of week 1. I enjoyed the video productions but the pdfs did not show the typography examples. So you can't just print the pdf and *really* get it. imo. For example she showed cool examples of serif, san serif, etc and she gives you the names of favorite fonts in the pdf but not what they look like. The first assignment was cool. Potentially busy day tomorrow so I'll get to them when I can. Leslie

I needed this kick in the rear to get going on this class, lol.
I've watched through Day 7 and have taken notes. I don't usually do the assignments every day with any class I take. Bad Leslie! But I just don't have time. I watch while folding laundry, cleaning up the kitchen, etc. My review notes got more detailed with every episode.Did you all know Tiffany is expecting?---sometime soon, I think! I wouldn't have known except she mentioned it on her blog. I have the same complaint with every class I have taken re: the written material. The written material never has "all" information documented. The written material and videos need to be watched together and notes taken. So here goes: note: there aren't a lot of downloads in this class so far. sometimes I save the pdfs (if they have a lot of instruction) and sometimes I don't (if they are fluff) Day 4-Personal typographic style. I did not feel the class pdf was worth saving to my harddrive. It was mostly chatter about identify what you like. Tiffany lists her 10 favorite fonts and I wrote them down because they are shown in the video but are not in the pdf. no downloads. Day 5-Chipboard Alphabet-how to make. The download was a piece of chipboard. I saved the pdf instructions for this class, again no screenshots of video. Day 6- Font Families--did not save PDF--fonts with same typeface but various sizes and weights: Arial regular, italic, bold, bold italic, black and black italic. She played around with keeping title in a family but varying word sizes, weights, color, opacity, etc. gives assignment for us to do same and post in gallery/forum video is 6:37 Day 7-Text within text. Focus is on font pairing. I saved the pdf with instructions (had no screenshots). End resut was a title consisting of one huge word on the bottom layer with an erased area running thru the word where you typed the remaining words of your title in a much smaller font. I liked it. The download was one of Tiffany's layered psd templates where she already had the title PSE work done for you but the lesson showed you how to do it yourself. video is 10:53 More as I get to them............Leslie |

Why not ask for some screen shots? Instructors always like to get input on what the students need.

I have noticed Jessica Sprague's classes are a bit the same. Info is given in the video that isn't in the pdf. I usually have to take notes.
It's just like attending a live class in college I guess! I wish they were all like the Computer Tricks for Sprapbooking magazines where it was all written out in detail with illustrations. I am about "classed out". I've never taken any of Cassie's because I probably already have the material in the Jessica Sprague and Renee Pearson classes I signed up for before I found DD. I'm still working my way through all of them. ![]() LEslie |

Whew, I finally got all the classes viewed and my class notes taken. It's really too bad time did not allow me to take the class "in real time" because it would have been fun to get critiqued by Tiffany for certain assignments.
All in all, I now know more about fonts and dingbats than I ever knew existed, lol. I'm really going to have to play around with the various techniques because I have to really get hands on before I get it locked into memory. Leslie |

I certainly plan to look here first for tutorials from here on out now this site has become my digital scrapbooking home.
![]() I am constantly researching the photoshop tips of the week because they are so "to the point". I'm still backlogged on old classes, but haven't bought any digital supplies from any other site since I really started getting into DD last year. ![]() Leslie |
