Default Are you keeping up?

I can't believe that I've managed to keep up so far with my December Daily album although some work days have been a bit short on inspiration, but I guess that needs to be documented too! I was at Ikea to buy candles last week and when I was driving home I suddenly realised I hadn't taken any photographs and I seriously, I mean seriously considered driving back to take some pics LOL!!!
It's amazed me recently how friends have been asking what's happened - where are your daily pages? I thought they would be boring so haven't been posting them in the gallery lately, but it's also nice to know that folk are interested!

So, is everyone keeping up? I admit I love the December gallery, it's such a great thing to do and there is a real spread of styles which is totally inspirational. I'm MAKING myself stick to the original plan and template but I might introduce a few single page photographs into the album, I've got to be careful though because if I start to dither, that will be the END, I'll never complete!

I might go back and add full bleed photos in as I make the book... but until then I stick to it and dont THINK too hard about it, or will alter it and whoosh... there it will go
Are you finding some days have 900 pictures and some... er,,, 4...?LOL!!
exciting to see how far we've come tho... as I'm only doing til 26th {maybe 27th, maybe 31st... we'll see} I'm on the home straight....

I admire your resolve all of you for keeping with it, I'm sitting back doing a random christmas page, and just enjoying the pretties in the gallery.

So far, so good! Of course I haven't done a 365 page in weeks, I am seriously behind with those now again.. It has been fun though, I am loving all the different takes on the December Dailies, there are such gorgeous pages in the gallery!

I'm horrifically behind, over a week now, but am planning to catch up!
Although I LOVE Anna's templates I picked and used it's making me want to add another thing and another thing, and another artsy thing and it takes quite a while longer then I had hoped ^^

Okay, I'm going to be the party pooper. Although I'm enjoying the finished product, I feel like all my creative energy is sucked out of me. After I figure out what to photograph (remember, I lead a VERY sedate life) and plug the pictures into the prepped page and try to keep up with the amazing gallery, I find I don't have much energy to scrap anything else. Some days, I think, "Oh, crap, what am I going to photograph today??" I know I'm going to love having the album when it's done, but I don't think I'll do it again next year. I don't think it's helped that I was sick as the project began -- just now starting to feel like myself again.

I haven't even started... Maybe partly because of what Linda said. Things I *have* to do, don't fit into this hobby, I need all my creativity (yes, it's sparse - sparse is the word I'm looking for, isn't it?) for the things I feel inspired to scrap.

I have been keeping up, but I admit to having difficulty with the more mundane days (read: Monday to Sunday). I was on call when I started and I knew that I would need some "filler" pages, as I couldn't scrap too much detail, but I have used them all. Now, I fuss over last minute photos. I do love seeing everyone else's pages and their little slices of life and the gallery comments are wonderful. I do think that it is worth it and will be a reminder for my daughter of times spent together.

Keep up the inspirational work ladies!!!!

After considering quitting because of the political problems of last week who kept us stuck in the house for a few days, I'm glad I kept on... I have pictures for almost everyday except for the 8th where I forgot to take pictures and the 13th. I have pictures and journaling for almost everyday, now I need to put the pages together.
Our plans changed for the holidays and we are spending Christmas in Florida instead of Haiti and I will have lots of things to document. I'm enjoying the December Days gallery so much... I think this is going to be a tradition as it is my second year.

I am trying to keep up with the pictures(though, I think my kids would shut down if I took pics of them everyday ~ that's where "our favorite ____s " come in!). I came down with Strep throat this past week and that put me out for 2 whole days. Since then, We've been SO BUSY getting ready for Christmas and seeing family! I am hoping to get going on it again today(Sunday) and a bit this week when I can... Then catch up again and push to finish after Christmas! I don't want this book lingering into Spring for me! I'm really trying to have my pages look like they belong in the book together... but different too, you know?

I'm truly enjoying everyone's pages! POST THEM PPL!

I have pics for each day, but in the end early nights are more important at the moment so I'm filing it all away. I figure if I post a day every so often I'll get it done.

Well done to those of you who have kept up with creating and posting the pages each day!

Keeping up with my albums is a laugh a minute! I have several pages done . . . my photos from each day made (some still in the camera) . . . but I haven't kept up with the page a day for sure! Gosh . . . look at my gallery and I've still the 2009 album to finish . . . and I'm six pages short on the 2007 book. Ugh . . . I always have giant expectations of what I will accomplish . . . but the reality is that I am running low again. I expect to finish all of these books someday . . . and one for 2008 too. Next year I think that I will follow the lead of a few others here and just do my 2011 Christmas book on my favorite things about Christmas and not the daily pages. Hope that I won't bog down on that one . . . but, I do know myself so hopes are not high!!!

I am so impressed with the "stick-to" gene that some of you have . . . impressed with those of you who have done 19 pages so far this year!!! Amazing. I am loving spending time in the Dec. Days gallery . . . what great inspiration.

Taking all the photos, but I am behind by a few days on the pages. It really is hard some days to find something to photograph, but Katrina's class at Get it Scrapped has helped me so much. Also all the pretty supplies in the store can make a mundane photo look a lot better.

This is my third year to do this project, and yesterday I actually took photos of the other two books! A December Daily page about December Daily. Now that's reaching for an idea lol!

oh hey ladies - your life is not
a) too mundane to share with us
b) boring/same same/ unexciting.
its not MY life, and so therefore I enjoy reading about it. yes even the laundry/cooking. What did you eat? what do you buy? where did you go? what did you think about?

If it helps, my big 'do this' motivator is my Grandparents - all of whom I have lost. If I could have just one page, just one bit of this kind of thing of their lives, it would make me so very happy. {So its on my future Grandkids I inflict pages of laundry and shopping }
What you are doing this year will not be what you are doing next year etc etc... Journal, make memories, tell the world/family/us. They may well not be your most exciting, artistic, pages, but, oh boy, will they be worth their weight in gold in the future.

It's not a project that meshes with my personality.

Instead, I enjoy all the pages in the gallery. Such a wonderful of mix of styles, traditions, and everyday activity!

Well said Mel, it's the ordinary every day that I find fascinating, and will be the most sought after books for those that come after us.

I am putting together a Christmas celebration book and this is going well as I am using templates from a template course I am participating in. Not posting but am thoroughly enjoying the gallery here. I am just in awe of the snow as the humidity is high here and all Christmas cooking is with aircon on at arctic levels.

I'm trying to limp home with my POTD album (which I haven't been posting because it is very simple and productless). My POTD album is like a Daily December & November & October...
I already love looking back through the album, even the seemingly mundane days, to see those little snippets of our family life.

What is it about this project that I feel compelled to complete? I am so into it. I love this project, and it has brought new meaning to my Christmas. Does that sound corny? I just love remembering. And there are so many details I would have forgotten had it not been for my books. So I will document the mundane and exciting. Because it's all worth remembering.

I am sort of up to date. I have a few pages to post and a few pages to finish. I agree that sometimes it is hard to find something to record. It has either been extreamly hot and humid, or pouring with rain here, so we have been inside, not doing much at all in the aircon, or hiding from the rain and mud. I will have alot of cooking and ingredients pages in my book, cause I do a little bit of that each day this close to christmas, and I like the way cooking and ingredients photograph. ( Last nights picture was a line of glace cherries for my christmas pudding ) Thankfully I am only a week or so behind with my project 365, so feeling pretty good about it. Just dont ask about any of my other projects, cause they are going nowhere at the moment.

sigh. lost it this week. it's been so hectic and then my son was always on my computer at night doing his homework. and it's dark so early here, so sometimes i pose photos the following day when i have better light (like tori's new felted slippers that she got tonight from her aunt which i will be photographing tomorrow morning)

but i'm determined to get back to it this week as the kids are out of school which actually makes my days less hectic. and i don't have to fight for quite as much computer time. but for now, it's back to wrapping gifts....

Well I love this kind of project. A start and a finish to it but not as long as 365, though. Like Linda, (EofO), my life is pretty calm, with no children at home or even near by, no pets , and this year a dh who was away for 10+days. My excitement has been trips to the dermatologist to have bits of skin or moles removed. Watching paint dry? how about watching skin heal?

But that's what I love. It's the day to day reality that I appreciate so much and I know that's strong for me because I DO travel so much.

I am up to date on my book but have learned that I like the easier ability to switch out bits digitally. Plus I can't lose things that I have designed, printed, and cut out. I am still wondering where in the h*ll my pretty "15" went!! As I said, elsewhere, it's all on my blog, and I think I'll try to add some more to the Gallery. Just don't look for credits, I'm afraid.

Hey, good work everybody! Whether you're caught up or lagging behind, it is such a worthy project!

I still love the project even though I am behind creating the pages with the photos I take each day. All I have to do is look at last year's book sitting out on our coffee table to be reminded that I want to complete a Days of December book for 2010, too. That keeps me going and I'm not stressing out about not keeping up. Between Christmas Day and the New Year things will get less busy for me, it gets dark early and we're kind of snowed in here, so, completing the pages will be a welcome diversion then.

I have several gaps between December 7th and the page I posted today for December 18th. No worries....I'm going to enjoy the process! I think my favorite digital papers and elements are the ones the designers create for the Christmas season.

I was gone for 3 days and it put a crimp in mine, but I've got the picks and thank goodness I had the pages made ahead of time. I'll be starting up again soon.

I'm afraid I would have driven back, Fiona. :O)

I'm hanging in there. Yes, there are days that aren't as inspiring as others and I think, this project will never see the light of day, but in the long run when I look back over the entire group of pages it all works. I agree with Maureen, it's the day to day reality we're capturing here and lets face it, not every day is all mistletoe and falalalala! Also, I find (another) cup of egg nog makes anything look merry and bright!
