Default PSE9 Organizer for Mac

On the Photoshop Elements forum I saw a discussion that indicated PSE9 provides the Organizer for Macs finally. Anyone tried it? Also, they said Bridge is no longer included with PSE on version 9.

I'm converting from PSE5 on Windows to PSE9 on a Mac, and would dearly love not to lose my tags in the Organizer. Any advice on this conversion? The Elements forum said I have to install the Windows version of PSE9, back up the PSE5 catalog to it, then save it on an EHD. Then I can deactivate the Windows version of PSE9, install the Mac version of PSE9, and load the Organizer catalog from the EHD. Sounds like something I'm sure to screw up, so I'm hoping someone has some pithy advice on this! TIA

Hi Liz,
That does sound like a convoluted process, but I imagine the extra steps are required because you have to 1. upgrade the version from 5-9 and 2. convert the version from Windows to Mac.
If you have a backup of your PSE catalog I'm sure you could always go back to that if things go haywire.
But whatever you do, make sure you embed your PSE Organizer tags into the file metadata (it's just an option in the File menu). Then you can read your tags back into whichever tagging system you go with - well I imagine they all import that data, I did it with ACDSee and I think I've read that other systems do it, too.

While I'm not going from Windows to Mac as I'm already on a Mac, I'm curious about those who have gone from iPhoto to Organizer. Does anything transfer? or have you?

I haven't installed PSE9 yet because my studio is still in a Christmas mess but I hope to do it this weekend.
