Default Big Push to Print my Pages!

I have been making an effort to upload my pages to Scrapping Simply this past week, as I have a bunch of pre-paid credits there, and I have found myself going back and making small changes on some of the pages. Mostly it is adding a date! Since I am not printing in a bound book where it would be easier to tell what month/year the pages are from, I feel compelled to go back and add the dates where I have forgotten them. A reminder to myself to be more careful and add them as I go! :-)

I know some of you delete the .psd files when you are done, but I'm not sure I could make that leap... I am a perfectionist and if I find a mistake, or something I want to add, I like having the file there!

Am I the only one who makes changes before printing?

No. As I learn how to work more with pages, I sometimes tweak tiny things too! Adding the date is very important!!!

no. I change occasionally too. Especially if my oldest takes a look at them. He always seems to find typos that I've overlooked.

Same here, there are always typos hiding on my pages LOL! I can't take the plunge and get rid of my PSD files either...at some point I might have to, there are just too many of them.

I delete my PSD files once I have printed them and I am happy with them. I don't delete them until the end of the year technically but they just take up so much space and I have never ever reprinted a layout... not once in over 3 years. I figure I don't have the ability for my paper layouts. Most my pages go in the gallery here anyway and a member usually finds a typo for me (thank you everybody)! So it is like having extra pairs of eyes to double and triple check!

I know it is scary but it felt good to see all that hard drive space

I may flatten my psd's after printing some day... Meanwhile, I am neurotic about putting the date on every page I make!

I keep all .psd's, as I too either need to add something, find something that is incorrect, or change something due to learning more about photoshop. I would have a hard time deleting them.

I don't delete them either, but I may have to start doing so, things are getting a bit full!

Glad to know I am not the only one who makes changes... out of the 35 I printed in my first batch I found 3 pages with typos and while it does bother me, I'm not sure I will reprint. If I were to make additional books I would go back and change them though! :-)

Way to go Steph! I have 57 uploaded so far and will get to at least 100 before sending in an order... I probably have at least 200 that need printing!

I have another 100 or so that need printing, too, but my pre-paid credits are gone. LOL! Waiting for another sale.

I have my daughter (who is an awesome editor at age 11) proof all my pages before printing. I always have to edit about 1/2 the pages before printing.

After a couple years I delete the .psd . At that point I wouldn't want to edit them even if I found a mistake.

What a great quote from you Carol! LOL

I have just purchased a new EXD and am slowing moving my PSD files over to it . . . and burning my favorite ones to disks too. I've deleted a few pages totally . . . I would rather re-scrap the photos than print some of them I decided. But, I cannot bring myself to not save the PSDs.

There is nothing like getting your pages back from the printer.

I just got a batch back from the printer, mainly ones of Bekah for Sharlah for Christmas. All of my psds that are printed are on an ehd and I think I am almost caught up with printing. Of course I don't scrap to the extent you all do and most of what I still have that I want to do are trips which most likely will go into books. I do have a good credit at Persnickety for the next round. My last ones were ScrapbooksPlease and I caught their latest sale. Yeah!

Now what I need to do is clean up the scattered jpegs of those prints - the full resolution and the web sized. It's taken me time to realize the importance of full organization which I didn't have in place when I started out. There's always a learning curve I guess.
