Question "Vivid Pics" in Shutterfly???

I'm about to order my third Shutterly album and I'm still wondering about the whole "vivid pics" thing. The website instructions say to turn it off, but I have never seen anything that says anything during the album creation process about "vivid pics" one way or the other. Does anyone know about this? Is there some secret place I have to go to turn it off?

Thanks for the help!

If you have already made your album, go to each page individually click on the page to go to edit. When this window comes up click on the efects tab at the top of the screen, and when this loasd, there will be a check box at the bottom that says something like "dont apply vivid pics". check the box and close the edit windoe. You have to repeat this for every page. If you havent made the book, you can do it in the album section, select all the layouts, and then find the edit option in there and find the same check box. I find the problem with doing it there is that it crops the pages and you have to uncrop them as well as turn off vivid pics. Sarah has just written a tutorial that might explain this better. Nothing at all happens when I click on my pages. There is no "edit pages" tab, or any tabs of any kind. I wonder if this is because I did the "digital scrapbook" option, rather than the "custom path" option with single photo full bleed pages. Maybe vivid pics is never an option for digital scrapbooks??

Sarah, it's also important to know (I address this in my tutorial) that if you use the digital scrapbook option you won't ever get a discount. My tut shows you how to bypass that system and use the custom path option.

Thanks for the tutorial! I NEVER would have found the vivid pics on/off option on my own. Now I'm bummed because this means that my 2008 and 2009 albums were both printed with vivid pics on. Oh well.

I just finished ordering my first two albums ever from Shutterfly. I turned off the vivid pics when I uploaded my pages. I was scared to death to press the order button but I did and I am looking forward to seeing my books and getting more done!
