Here are the links I used in the travel chat yesterday:
Today we?re chatting about travel again, but this time it?s the free and easy version. Let?s bounce some ideas around about making it easy to scrap those travel pages. One of the first things that comes to mind is a template set. And there have been several sets in the store recently that really make the job of scrapping travel pictures easy. There?s Katie?s Painted Summer set: Painted Summer: Surf Layered Templates No. 09 - Digital Scrapbooking It?s perfect for beach pictures. Here?s a layout by Katie herself: Painted Summer Surf pg4 - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals Painted Summer Surf pg5 - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals And then there?s Anna?s Summer Layered Template Album: Summer Layered Template Album No. 10 - Digital Scrapbooking Templates I just love the pages Anna did with it like this one: Summer 2010 Project - Page 3 - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals Summer 2010 Project - Page 2 - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals It really puts the emphasis on all those pictures you took on your trip or during activities in the summer. You could use it like Jess (jesshunt) did to document her family?s summer: Summer 2010 - page 14 - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals Summer 2010 - page 15 - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals And Lynn?s My Windows Travel templates are such a great set for your vacation pics: My Windows Album No.01: Travel - Digital Scrapbooking Templates Kerry (KerryMac) used them for her awesome United Arab Emirates pictures: UAE Book. maybe...still figuring it out - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals UAE Book Page 5 - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals Lynn also has a series in black for class to the max: My Windows Template No. 08 - Digital Scrapbooking Templates I love how Mel (britgirl) used this one for her roller coaster pictures and added stitching: dragon slayer.... - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals Some other travel pages that really caught my eye are from Denise and Terry. Denise?s (Denise Gormish) simply elegant pages like this one really make me want to visit Yellowstone: Old Faithful - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals I love the clean look of Terry?s (MIDA78466) pages showcasing her vacation pictures: Hubbard Museum page 2 - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals Paula (PaulaSG) recently used an 8x8 album set by Anna for her Prague pictures: Simple MultiFoto Template Album 8 X 8 - Digital Scrapbooking Templates Prague 2010 - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals I loved seeing her beautiful pictures of Prague since we?re planning to travel there next year. I love the cohesive look of Patricia?s (patriciaz) album of her trip to Venice: Gallery Project Details | Shutterfly She used Anna?s 8.5x11 template album: Landscape Layered Template Album No. 01 8 1/2 X 11 - Digital Scrapbooking Pam (blkcow) did a beautiful Yellowstone album using Katie?s Simple Summary template set. Here?s one of her pages: Yellowstone_20 - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals And here?s the template set: Simple Summary Layered Templates 2009 - Digital Scrapbooking Templates Several team members said they used photo clusters to facilitate scrapping their photos. Terri (tdavenport) did that for this travel page: Day Two - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals And so did Bailey (Starlite9711) on her Stone Mountain page: Family Vacation! - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals Here is just a sample of the photo clusters: Photo Clusters No. 31 - Digital Scrapbooking Elements DesignerDigitals Taped Photo Collages No. 01 - Digital Scrapbooking Elements Simply grouping pictures is also a good technique that Lisa (lpate) uses on this page: Disneyland Album Page 3 - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals Marnie (marnie) made great use of Anna?s clippings masks in her fabulous album of pictures from Africa: Resting, waiting (L) - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals And here is one set of Anna?s clippings masks: http://www.designerdigitals.com/digi...oducts_id/9581

Linda....did your Mom have any particular memories of things that were "don't miss" or "don't bother. I am going to get a travel book...so I'm sure that will help. My sister did this cruise a couple of yrs ago....so she'll have a fair bit of knowledge!!

My mother said she couldn't remember anything specific, but it was quite a few years ago that she went.
You're welcome, Amy!
