Default The big Album redo

I have decided to redo my 2008 paper album. I hate how thick with embellishments it is so its going digital! I plan on using lots of Michelle Martin's templates and doing some scraplifting from the gallery here to keep it simpler. At least the journaling is done, just have to copy it instead of trying to rack my brain to remember details. I am planning to work on it on Tues. & Thurs. mornings when I have some me time.

I have toyed with the idea of redoing some paper albums so that they are more user friendly, but I spent so many loving hours on them! I wish there was an affordable 12x12 scanner i could just scan them in and make a digital copy. Good luck with such a big project!!

Good for you making that decision.. I have ten years worth of paper albums I'd love to redo but I'm too far behind already :-( Maybe someday I'll pick up speed and be able to do it.

You know Heather you got me thinking.. I've been struggling with trying to learn all the techniques of digital scrapbooking and organizing photos and journaling.. maybe it would be a better idea to redo an existing album where the photos are already organized and the journaling is already done.. then I could just focus on learning.. hmmmmm have to give that some thought. Thanks

i'm working on scanning all of my paper pages -- have done a lot of them already and, in fact, included them in shutterfly books with digi pages. I don't have a 12x12 scanner but Photoshop does a great job of stitching (and I usually grab digital versions of the photos and add them to the scanned page).

Katie, Scrapbooks to Share does scanning and printing of paper albums. They charge 50 cents to scan the 12X12 page and between $1 and $2 to print the page. I've used them for printed 12X12 pages and they do a great job.
