Angry My Service Went Down During the Chats

Hi Ladies I got knocked out of the chat around 12 yesterday. I tried so hard to get back in and then the next thing I know my whole service went down. Internet, phone, and tv. Cable company sent someone out today and my problem is still not repaired. I now have another "All Day" appointment tomorrow. I'm so bummed I missed some good chats and lots of nice freebies. I'm writing this message from work hoping that once I get home with my laptop that just maybe my wireless signal will work. Since the technician this afternoon on the phone said it is not the signal inside my house. The technician that came this morning said a maintenance guy would be out this evening before 5 he didn't show and then I called and the tech on the phone said there is no such appt scheduled. I'm so pissed right now. I think I need to un bundle my service and go back to have 1 company provide the cable tv service and another company provide the phone and internet service. Ok I'm gonna stop venting and say I hope you guys had a wonderful time yesterday and I'm sorry I didn't get to say hi to some of you.

Angela, that is so very frustrating!! It's like being without electricity! I hope it is all sorted out soon. Sorry you missed out on the later chats.

I feel your pain, we panic when the internet goes out here-usually we just need to reboot our hub, but still-to lose my connection to the world-uhhggg!

What rotten luck, Angela -- it only takes something like this for us to realize how much we depend on our "connectedness," doesn't it?

Sorry, that happened, Angela! I would be mad, too! Sometimes, everything works against us.

that really really stinks Angela, I feel your pain. I can't imagine being without internet service that long. We have come to do so much on our computers. Plus for you to miss out on all the fun...I would be mad too! I hope you'll get it back soon!

My husband is totally dependent on an internet connection to do his work, so he gets a little distraught when ours goes down. Our phone service is also internet driven. Last week it all went out-and so he used his mobile phone to dial into the office for conference calls and my cell phone to talk on the calls. I feel your pain, Angela! Sorry you missed the fun.

I'm so sorry, Angela! Why does it always go down when you REALLY need it!

After calling all weekend and being told I need to be at home when they came. And them coming out on Sunday and Monday and never knocked on my door I decided to just calm down and pack for my trip and then go to work. Now that I'm dressed to go to work I see that they are gone (it was an outside problem) and my service is back up, however, my home phone is still down. You would think they could have atleast knocked on my door and asked me if all my services were back up, so now they are going to just have to come again. I asked them when I saw them out there earlier to check with me when they are done because I really believed that part of the problem is in the house. Thank goodness though that it is only my phone. I can live without hearing that ring especially since I have my cell. But I'm on my way to Chicago on Wednesday for work and I don't have time to sit around here waiting for them to come back. Oh well I guess I will have to take care of it when I come back. Atleast now I can see the new stuff that came into the shop and all the beautiful pages you guys made. Well since I'm dressed for work, I guess I'll run to the office and shop tonight. Thanks for letting me vent.

My dh uses his net connections as his livelihood also, so he is off to Starbucks if something goes amiss. We ordinarily have great service (Verizon Fios) but if it goes wonky, I know to shut my door and/or turn on a podcast, because there will be bad sounds coming from his office which I don't want to hear! Sadly, we really are at their mercy re out net connections aren't we.

Missing a chat when you have planned for it is such a shame. I am truly glad I got the time in that I did on Saturday. It was a good balance to my day. Have fun in Chicago Angela, one of my fave cities, and not too cold yet.

Glad to hear it's up and running again, but what a shame it went down during chat time! Ironic, 'cuz this was the first chat in a long time where I didn't get booted out! We missed ya, for sure!

Oh, and get some shopping done and scrap while you're sitting in your hotel room in Chicago!
