Default Converting 12x12 template?

I just purchased a 12x12 layered template by Cathy Zielske. However, I want to modify it for use in an 8.5x11 scrapbook.

How do I modify the template? Do I move the different layers to an 8.5x11 base?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

You could move the layers or reduce the entire template to 8x8 and leave some white space.

Did she not offer it in 8 1/2 X 11? Seems so much of her templates are in both sizes. Anyway, I've done this before---the easiest thing to do is make a new document at 8 1/2 X 11, then link all the layers in the 12X12, right-click and duplicate to your 8 1/2 X 11 document. Then, while all the layers are still linked, press CTRL + 0 to zoom your document out and see all the handles on the corners. Resize until all the layers fit on the page. From there, you can pick and choose which layers would look OK elongated or more narrow, unlink them, and resize as desired. You might not want to resize them all; some might not look good stretched.

Does that make sense? HTH!

Kelly, my "Getting Started with Templates" tutorial gives instructions on this. I'm assuming you have it. If not, just email me if you get stuck with any of the above instructions.
