Default Vacation Book Building

Hi all.. I was just wondering how all of you do your vacation books? Do you try and do them chronologically (by day of vacation) or group like things together, or just free-form? Usually I do my books somewhat chronologically, but I'm debating on how to put my disney trip book together. Every day we park-hopped, so I have Magic Kingdom pics from each day, so I'm thinking, maybe group more by park, with event pages (princess breakfast, etc.) interspersed. What are your thoughts on how you manage books like that? It's just a different step for me, since I'm very much a date ordered scrapper! :-)

I am a date ordered scrapper too... You can find Disney pages in my gallery. I kind of mixed both of your ideas together. But, I can't let go of my OCD so it had to be in order

We've gone to Disney many years and I'm now caught up on my Disney books. I did mine in chronological order. I'm a little OCD on things like that too. Just bugs me to be out of order. We often park hopped as well. I did each page by "event" so if we spent the majority of the day at Magic Kingdom I did pages showing each ride, character meeting or dinner. The next page might be of the parade at a different park (or whatever) but then I journaled on that page describing how when we were done at Magic Kingdom we hopped over here to do this or that. I provided a date on each page. Yes, my books ended up being huge (pushing 100 pgs) but it's important for me not to overlook any memories of those trips

Well, we didn't park-hop, but I did each day together. On the back of the book, I had everything we did each day, listed by day---all the rides, shows, and food. I'm a little more OCD that way, and a very chronological scrapper. We did Magic Kingdom three times on our trip, and the pages are separated, I have them all together on the days we did that park.

I do them by topics and then chronologically. So, I'm organize my photos into pages on a certain topic, then put the pages in chronological order. For Disney, I'd put all the Dumbo ride photos on one page whether they were day 1 or day 3. Of Fantasyland all on one page - more dependent on the subject than the day.

When I put the pages in the album, I would try to be chronological but would not sick to it completely.

All my Disney pages are from my paper days, but I still need to do my Hershey park album. Will be watching this thread.

I've done vacation books chronologically, and I've done them by grouping subjects. Both were fun, and I love them all! Do what feels good.
