Default Cassie's Tutorials

Are there any more Cassie Jones' Tutorials in the works? I think I have all of them that pertain to PSE and LOVE them. I was just wondering if anything new is going to be available soon. These are great because everything you need is available for you to follow along...no guessing. Christine

Christine, I'm so glad that you've enjoyed working through my tutorials.

There is a new HTDT? tutorial coming to the store this weekend, and I have another one coming soon.

And for anybody out there that is curious, all but 4 of the 46 tutorials in the store pertain to Photoshop Elements. Just the "PS I Love You (PSILY)" series and the video on actions are for Photoshop only. All the "How'd They Do That?" (HTDT?), "Laying It All Out"(LIAO), and "Getting Started" tutorials are for both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements!

Thanks again for your support, Christine!

Christine!! Welcome to the forums!! I see you have found the very best source for learning our craft.... Dr. Jones' classes! I call her Dr. because in my book she is the master of this teaching. You are so right that her tutorials are so complete and also through.

Can't wait to see some of your pages in the gallery.

I posted a layout last night using the newest of Cassie's tutorials. It's coming to the store in time for the sale and it is about using multiple colors on brushes. The new tutorial includes brushwork by Katie Pertiet, of course! I had so much fun. There are three different techniques explained and I only used one method. Can't wait to try the other two, as well. I discovered from Cassie there is a much easier way to paint with brushes on a brush design than I had been using!

My layout is here:

I so needed this tutorial! I have always avoided painting brushes because I couldn't remember how to do it Now I'll have the source of information handy at all times LOL. You will enjoy this latest addition, I'm sure!

I am a huge fan of Cassie's tutorials! So much so, in fact, that I created a blinkie awhile back about it.

And I'll never forget that you told me you have a binder of them! I still can't imagine! That's a LOT of printing, girl!

And thanks for that cute blinkie!

I love the tutorials as well. I don't have all of them, but they are all printed out in a big binder with nice little tabs. That reminds me, I think they may be one or two still on my wish list.

Okay Bonnie now i am really curious, not having done the tutorials yet, how many pages are we talking because that sounds like something i would do. I am going to buy the beginner tutorial tonight or tomorrow and try it out!

The tutorials all come with a PDF. I believe the product listing details how many pages the PDF is. If you're new to digital scrapbooking, I might suggest "Getting Started with Layouts" (32 pages) or "Getting Started with Templates" (21 pages). Otherwise, pick any that look interesting. Some of the tutorials are in the series "How'd They Do That?" and some are in the series "Laying It All Out." Usually all you need is Photoshop or Elements and a photo or two. She normally includes the paper/backgrounds/elements (from DD of course!) to complete the lesson. You end up with a great layout and a lot more knowlege and skill.

Try one and you'll be hooked!

Well, the tutorials are anywhere from about 8-40 (even 50!) pages long, and there are 47 of them. That's a lot of ink.

Think of the hours Cassie has put in giving us those detailed instructions...that's why there are lots of pages....she takes us step by step through a process with screen shots and perfect explanations!

And, then, there is also the bonus of getting papers and elements by Katie Pertiet included with each tutorial.

Thanks ladies! I did buy the tutorial on doing your first page and hope to do that today. I think i will not print for now but do a split screen so i can work on the project and read instructions at the same time if that will work, it should with windows 7. They look excellent and Cassie sure has done a great job. And i guess i need to look through them again because i certainly didn't see the template tutorial. Here i come wish list!

A binder? I think I have maybe three right now. I haven't done a lot of digital scrapbooking for a while, and I need to see where I left off collecting your LIAO and HTDT tutorials. Then I will print those out and put them to use!

And you're welcome on the blinkie -- it's the one and only blinkie I've ever made!

I print all my tutorials, but I change the layout in the print options so it prints 2 pages per paper. Then I put them all in a binder. It is still a lot of ink, but I find it much easier for me to access than to use a split screen and I can add notes if needed.

Cassie's tutorials are awesome, I still remember doing my first one, which was the one on extractions. Awesome stuff, really awesome, I still love it and now I actually understand it The most wonderful part was when I got stuck and I could send her an email with my question and she was kind enough to talk me through it. Where else do you find that???

Cassie, is there any way to be notified when there's a new tutorial up, whether it's LIAO or HTDT? Rss of some sort? ;-)
