Question CS5 and LR3

After my third semester of receiving all As (not to mention taking 16 credit hours in the final 6 weeks of summer and still managing to get all As) - my husband rewarded me with CS5 and LR3. Hopefully, he will be installing these tonight (or soon).

What is the best way to get going on CS5? Just start playing with it? Any books or manuals you would recommend?

I got the premium edition because of the amazing editing features. Should be interesting.

Thanks,
Christine

Whoho! Congratulations! I would recommend Scott Kelby's Adobe Photoshop CS5 for Digital Photographers if it's out yet. I have the CS4 version, and it's packed full with useful information. I also have his Lightroom 2 book. Love them both. Otherwise, you're just about right - play with it, and you will love it! Good luck!

Enjoy they are so much fun to play with. If you have the time Kelby Training is amazing. There are so many classes and I am so visual I need to see what they are doing!

Congrats on the fantastic grades!

You're a sponge for new information, aren't you?! Wow, that's some achievement! And what a sweet reward from your DH!

Firstly congratulations on your wonderful results, and how lovely of your husband to recognise your achievement with something you will truly enjoy. Lucky! (and well deserved).

You are really a good student! All A's . . . what a wonderful roll you are on. Your husband is such a great guy . . . and chose a terrific gift for you and your achievements! Have fun learning . . . you must be making all sorts of "new brain cells" with all of the studying and new knowledge you are pouring into your head! I am in awe of you.
