Default CS5 PS on sale!

Wow, it's $299. PS

Isn't this what usually happens before Adobe release ANOTHER version?

I would have jumped on that if I didn't already have it!

I was just about to start kicking myself, even checked my credit card statement. I got the upgrade from Adobe back in June for $199, I do believe they had the 30% off Lightroom at the time (I just didn't want it). I don't remember what the non-upgrade price was, but $299 does sound really low!

I'm trying to decide whether to take the plunge or not...it is one heck of a deal, and I'm still in PSE7. Would the learning curve be a big one?
Also, I have a lot of purchased styles and actions, and would anyone know if they are transferable to PS C5?

It seems the special is no more. - the 30% off Lightroom w/any purchase is still available, but it is now listed at full price of $299.

Joanie,

I upgraded yesterday from CS2...it is still showing an upgrade price of $199 tonight and since you have CS3 you should be able to purchase at that price. The price if you are not upgrading has gone back to $699. Hope this helps

Thanks Katie, but since I do much of my work at home, I have CS3 - in the masters suite. I was considering getting the Photoshop CS5 for myself, since work is not planning on upgrading yet. I almost bought it yesterday at the $299 price, plus lightroom 3 for about $70, but I had thought I had seen that the special was going on through Oct., but I guess I mis-read. I am fine with CS3, so I think I will treat myself to the Epiphanie Lola bag instead.
