Default Preview photo on folder

Sorry I know this info is here somewhere but I can't for the life of me find it. Can someone please tell me how to get the jpg preview image onto the folder on a Mac?

Heather Prins gave me the whole picture. http://www.designerdigitals.com/digi...lder-view.html

Here is what I wrote "Once you click and open the preview jpeg, on it do Cmd A (you'll see marching ants around the image), and then Cmd C, close the preview jpeg and close the folder. Right click on the folder, going to Get info, and then when you see the tiny folder on the top of that info panel, right click the tiny folder and do a Cmd V, and you should see it. I HOPE!!!!"

The short version is go to your digi file...KPertiet xyv, open it, double click the preview .jpg and CmdA, CmdC, CmdQ on the preview .jpg. (the .jpg will then be closed) Go back to the folder and RIGHT click and select Get Info. The column of info will open. Double click the blue folder icon, and the CMDV. You should now see the folder's icon change to the preview .jpg. Close that folder and move on to the next 5 thousand folders....

wish the idiots who designed Windows 7 understood that we actually want to be able to put a picture on a folder! if you haven't seen it, the folders in Windows 7 don't have a flat front. they appear as being partially opened, which guarantees that you can't tell what's in a fodler unless you blow up the size to Super Large....

Hear, hear. I was wondering what the Mac users were talking about; there's no way to do it on a PC! I have to keep my folders blown up huge, most of the time, to see what's inside.

It's so annoying, isn't it? That's why I got ACDSee - so I can see what I have. As it turns out, Microsoft did me a big favor because I love ACDSee and wonder how I ever scrapped without it before.

I had Windows XP on my Dell and the folders automatically had the thumbnail on the folder cover. Then I got my Mac and hated that the folders were just blank . . . thanks to Maureen I now am converting all of my many, many DD product folders by the method she told us about. I know that about the time I finish all of my products that Mac will have an automatic folder thumbnail upgrade!!! (maybe that is wishful thinking)

I too don't know why Windows thinks that the open folder is better than their old XP version where you could actually see what was inside the folders either.
