Default Help with caps lock

I don't know what I've hit / pushed by accident, but I seem to be stuck in caps lock mode in PSE6. Caps lock is not on, but everything I type is in caps. Any suggestions? And, of course, I'm right in the middle of a layout -- argh!

Hi Linda,
The same thing happened to me recently, and I didn't know why either. Closing the editor and re-opening it didn't solve it either.
"I think" if I remember correctly... I went to edit-preferences-type...and then hit reset.
Hope I'm not steering you wrong. Good luck!

Linda, the first thing to do is to try a different font.

If that doesn't work, reset the Type tool.
Try Cindy's method or you can get the Type tool and click the first drop-down arrow on the far left side of the Options Bar. It gives you an option to Reset the Type tool.

As a last resort, I'd try rebuilding the Preferences by shutting down PSE.
Hold Ctrl Alt Shift as you restart (in Edit mode) and continue holding the buttons.
You'll get a pop-up window asking you if you want to delete your settings. Click Yes.

Hope this works!

Actually what Sarah said it what I did:
click the first drop-down arrow on the far left side of the Options Bar. It gives you an option to Reset the Type tool.
That is how I solved the problem!

Thanks, ladies -- it worked like a charm! I knew I'd find an answer here!
